I read a forum post at some point that outlined maps comparing Lake Superior with Nyr Dyv in Greyhawk. I thought it was via a link through Grognardia, but I searched there and couldn't find it.
Also, there is a map of the "Known World" for SCA back in 1989 that pictures Lake Superior with a striking similarity to Nyr Dyv in the Greyhawk Map I had as a kid...
This?

Hope this helps, if not email and I'll look some more (it drives this librarian crazy when he can't find information)...
Nope, still not it.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure it was a forum. Just not the ones mentioned so far.
There was a bit about Blackmoor in October on the Adventures in Gaming Blog which mentions some discussion on the ODD74 Forum.

The following link is the huge scan from the World of Greyhawk that I found... The left side has majority of Nyr Dyv visible.

Thanks Todd. Yes, I've looked at these links too with the exception of the last two.
ReplyDeleteMy google-fu must get stronger.
