Barrowmaze Session Report and Notes

The most recent session report is now up, if you haven't seen it already.

It's entitled And in the Darkness...Cromwell Touches Himself which was a quote from the game session lol

We are playing again tonight.

Also, Sean at Tales from the Flaming Faggot has a great post on OSR publishing. Check it out.

  1. I don't know how else to get into contact with you besides this site, so I'll just leave this comment here - reading through BARROWMAZE I love everything about it, but using it as my first foray into "old school" I have to ask... how many players is it designed for give or take? I can't seem to find that anywhere inside, though perhaps I have simply missed it.

  2. Hi!

Thank you for getting in touch.

Old school games are designed for large parties at early levels because the game tends to be quite lethal.

If you go to our Red Box Niagara wiki, and check out the early session reports, you'll notice that there are normally 3-4 PCs plus each has at least one or two men-at-arms. This leads to a party size of 10-14. Even then they will die in droves.

If you need help please email me and ask away: kilted dot yaksman at yahoo dot ca

  3. Kiltedyaksman,

I'm looking to include your, 'The Bastion of the Boglings' in a book I've written (a flash driven DM's Guide) for retail. Can you send me an email at knoepfle@dmguide.com to discuss the possibility?

    Chris
