Barrowmaze II: New Jim Holloway Art

I have to admit, I've been trying to keep my powder dry and not reveal too many secrets or illustrations regarding BMII.

I think there's something to be said for cracking a new dungeon for the first time and feeling that sense of fun and wonder when you see new illustrations for the first time.

Having said that, it's time to open this particular sack of coin. Enjoy!

  1. Awesome. I love the total consternation on everyone's faces. And is that Uncle Oscar, from Arrested Development, in the background holding the torch?

    1. Yeah, I like the Dungeon Crawl zero-level we-could-all-die-here look of them.

      Oh and, Hot Elf Chick!

  2. Open this particu.-- No-no-no, don't open that! Close it again! Close it!

That group looks woefully under-equipped to be facing their weight in mummies. I love the way the one guy in back is about to be jumped by five at once, while everyone's already panicked over just one. "Hey, little help?"

  4. Hey R,

I appeciate humour probably more than the next guy but can we agree not to buzzkill it at least for the immediate future? :) i actually managed to get Jim Holloway to illustrate for BM, let me bask in the afterglow lol

  5. No buzzkill intended! I'm sorry if you felt that way, I just had this idea that sounded funny in my head... well. ;)

I'm a great fan of Jim since West End's Paranoia... that's probably where my strange taste in humor came from - well, and Monty Python.
I have the original picture on my desktop right now. And I wasn't kidding when I said I really, really love it.
Can't wait to see the whole thing in all it's glory!

  6. It's all good. When you work so hard on something for so long...you know? It's hard to explain lol
