I know I mentioned this before, but I find it always difficult to quickly get across what I mean by "old school" gaming, when the term "old school" has so many meanings depending on the listener.
I felt you were clear and Jeff seemed to recognize the style of play. He seemed to think the "old school" approach has been lost to the past, when it's alive and well and not just with older gamers.
I am not just referring to The Delvers. Correct me if I am wrong, but Alex is fairly young and definitely did not start in the 80s. Even based on your interview it sounds like others in your group started with 3e.
